Things that Matter

“Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart” , one of my most beloved characters, the adorable “Winnie the Pooh”, said this in a contemplative mood.

But what he said was definitely worth pondering over, take for example a situation arises when your loved one is in the hospital, is it the money that matters or the health of your loved one? I am sure it would be definitely the health & well being. In this fast paced world, where everyone runs after money just to live a better lifestyle, yet these same people spend a lot of money of planning vacations & holidays to far off places amidst nature to live a simple life away from the hustle & bustle of city life. From the day I reached adulthood, I have never met an individual who doesn’t love his/her childhood, everybody revisits those days of nostalgia & remembers the time when there was no pressure of earning but only the joy of learning, broken pencils & lost erasers mattered more than missed calls or unanswered emails. These small & simple things mattered a lot to us then. Going to school with your neighbourhood friends or your siblings, racing them to the school or back home, was wonderful than racing a speeding vehicle on the way to work.

Money, as someone has truly said, is the root of all evil & I believe  that just as the book, “Men are from Mars & Women are from Venus” states, You can neither live with it, nor without it. If you have a lot of money, you are worried about investing it, keeping it safe & saving taxes. On the contrary, if you don’t have it, you try & devise ways to acquire money. The outcome is the same in both the situations, you end up having sleepless nights but again as they say, Money is a necessary evil. Yet, money can’t buy everything & there are small things which matter the most to you. Playing cricket with your son on a Sunday Morning can be one heck of a stress buster, just looking into the eyes of your gf/bf after a hard days work & sharing your days activities with each is priceless. Helping your better half to cook up a scrumptious meal on a holiday makes the bond between both of you even stronger. These small things do not require big occasions because these big occasions end up ruining the simplicity of the moment. Things like Marriages which is union of two hearts where two people embark on an unknown journey together doesn’t need a large than life celebration yet people spend a huge amount on their weddings, in fact they end using up all their savings. Beautiful things need not come in big packages, its the small things which occupy the most part of your heart. Individuals look at a simple life with a loving husband/Wife , wonderful parents, adorable children & an affordable beautiful house is all that one wants in this fast paced world, they want to #CelebrateLife by the way it was meant to be. Basic necessities like food, clothes & house is all that one desires, yet people forget to “Live” their life leave alone “Celebrate Life”

Had heard a beautiful saying once, its very relevant in these modern times but hoping we #CelebrateLife rather than just go about wistfully living it. “Neither could I sell my sorrows which I had yesterday, Nor can I buy Joy for myself today, yet I go to work just to earn money everyday”
